SPECIMENS - encaustic monotypes
Encaustic monotypes are created using a hot plate and painted on with wax sticks. The plate can be manipulated the
same as other printing methods, using various tools. Once the image is completed, watercolor or printmaking paper
is carefully laid over the hot wax, and using a brayer, gently rubbed down.
These images are the best results of many prints and experiments.
