Encaustic Collagraph

In printing there are many methods and tools for the artist to use to complete a print. Etching, lithography, monotype, mono print, and collagraph are a few of the standard practices. I have recently been using the collagraph method, the building up of a printing plate, using encaustic instead of more familiar items such as cardboard, string, and other items. These prints are the results. A ghost print is one that is made after the original print is pulled through the press, and using whatever ink is leftover from the first pulled print, run through the press again. Many times these can be even more wonderful that the original print.
