My ongoing series, Cardboard Constructs, reflects a commitment to sustainability and creativity through the use of recycled and found materials. Rather than purchasing new supplies, I draw from the abundant, often overlooked items in my studio—discarded cardboard, miss-mixed paints from large box stores, recycled fabric, wallpaper, and various found objects that have patiently waited for their moment to be transformed. This approach not only challenges me to be resourceful but also infuses my work with a unique texture and vibrancy.

I am excited to break away from the traditional square and rectangular formats, exploring dynamic shapes that add to the playful energy of each piece. My work is characterized by colorful patterns and diverse mark making, creating layers of visual interest and movement. In these politically charged times, my intention is to offer a joyful respite—art that is bright, fun, and uplifting rather than heavy or somber. I hope viewers find delight in the colorfulness and spirited nature of my creations, experiencing a moment of light-heartedness and wonder.
